My work explores drawing practices in relation to mark making, with particular attention to fracture, movement, loss and growth. The underlying theme for my drawings is driven by an interest in environmental concerns, weather mapping and aerial photography. Through the embodied experience of drawing, my work is a visual representation of the constant changes happening in the environment. I use mark making as a way of translating and comprehending these changes onto the space of the page. By working on a large roll of paper that spans from a height and spills out onto the floor, my practice engages with drawing in the extended space. The viewer is encouraged to consider the constant movement in our environment as they explore this imagined landscape.
