Fashion Design Projects

I designed four distinct womenswear collections, using different sources of inspiration and destined for particular brands and seasons. Each consists of 24 outfits, presented in flat drawings as well as illustrations (full projects on portfolio link).
Artistic Defiance (YSL – AW19): Inspired by the Speakeasy’s of the Jazz Age and their defiance of prohibition, looking primarily at men’s suiting and bold shapes, looks are daring and rebellious. Colours are inspired by the fun, free and lively sound of jazz music.
Natural Symmetry (Zac Posen – SS20): Inspired by the natural lines and shapes of flora, symmetry in nature is used to guide delicate pleating, fabric manipulations and seam details for a glamourous and luxurious look, using lush and vibrant tones.
Busy Bee (Urban Outfitters – SS20): Inspired by bees and beekeeping, this streetwear collection is a balance between rough and dainty, with elements of utility and workwear.
Retro Eccentric (Topshop – AW19): Inspired by the wacky furniture and interiors of the sixties. Shapes hint to classic retro pieces such as the S-chair and shag rugs, with clashing prints and loud colours for an “all frills” aesthetic.
